The company state

The Business Brain. The living model of your company state.

It connects your goals, your business model, your customers, your market and your capacity into one picture: what Vlera OS knows, how reliably, how recently, and what matters for your goals now. Not a static database and not an AI brain, but a state that is carried forward.

  • VersionedA new version is only created when the content changes.
  • With provenanceSource, knowledge state and recency belong to every fact.
  • Carried forwardNew inputs and results carry the state forward.

The living state

One connected state, related to your goal, with a memory beneath it.

On top, the state as it is today: the six domains with their facts, every fact in its knowledge state, the domains tied together by relationships, all related to your goal. Beneath it, the course of events: what was decided, executed, verified and learned.

  2. Finance & Economics
  3. Market & Competition
  4. Customers & Sales
  5. Marketing & Visibility
  6. Operations & Capacity

Business Memory

  • Known
  • Estimated
  • Inferred
  • Conflicting
  • Stale
  • Unknown

Lines between the domains show relationships. Crossed: sources disagree, both stay visible.

Your goal
The goal is the reference axis: it decides which gaps matter.
Business Brain
The state as it is today, connected and with provenance.
Business Memory
The course of events: how this state came about.

Two things, not one

Business Brain and Business Memory.

Business Brain

The current state

What Vlera OS knows about your business today: goals, framework, signals and the knowledge of the six domains, connected to each other and related to your goal.

  • Connected: the domains relate to each other
  • Related to your goal
  • With source, knowledge state and recency

Business Memory

The course of events

The company-specific memory: context, decisions, actions, verification, outcomes and learning over time.

  • Context and earlier decisions
  • Actions and their verification
  • Outcomes and insights

The Business Brain is the state as it is today. The Business Memory keeps how that state came about. They belong together, and they are not the same.

Which of these points are known differs for every business. The domains do not stand for separate areas: they act on one another.

From source to fact

Evidence becomes knowledge, not the other way round.

A fact only enters the Business Brain when a source supports it. What follows from it is labelled as an assessment.

Feedback: Results of carried-out actions become new evidence. The Business Brain takes them into the next assessment.

Four facts, four knowledge states

Example view, not a customer statement

  1. Extra enquiries per week you can handleabout 8Source: Your input · Knowledge state: Estimated · Recency: confirmed 5 months agoEstimated is not measured.
  2. Margin per offernot knownSource: none · Knowledge state: Unknown · Recency: –Unknown is not zero: the margin is not counted as 0.
  3. Enquiries come mainly through searchprobablySource: Website analysis · Knowledge state: Inferred · Recency: at the last analysisInferred is not fact: a proposal until you confirm it.
  4. Team size5 or 8Source: Your input and website · Knowledge state: Conflicting · Recency: at the last analysisBoth statements stay visible until you decide.
  • Unknown is not zeroWhat is missing is never shown as 0.
  • Inferred is not factInferences are labelled. Statements taken from the website are proposals until you confirm them.
  • Estimated is not measuredAn estimate is never presented as a measurement.
  • Correlated is not causedA before-and-after comparison shows a relationship, not proof.

Progressive understanding

Don't know everything. Know the right things.

The Business Brain starts with a minimum picture across all six domains and goes deeper only where a goal calls for it. There is no giant questionnaire. Setup is only the beginning, and the Business Brain is never considered finished.

In this order Vlera OS clarifies what it is missing

  1. Use what is already providedWhat you have already told Vlera OS is not asked again.
  2. Check connected systemsAccounts you have connected are included, read-only.
  3. Draw on documents and public sourcesWhat you provide and what is publicly visible.
  4. Infer, but only labelledAn inference stays recognisable as such and does not count as fact.
  5. Only then ask youOnly when a decision-critical fact cannot be obtained otherwise.

There is no 100 percent target and no progress bar: the Business Brain is never finished, it just becomes more fitting.

Carried forward, not completed

A state that grows with the business.

Living means: the Business Brain is carried forward. New inputs, decisions and results flow into the state, and every change stays traceable as a version.

  1. Something changesYou confirm or correct an input, connect an account or carry out an action.
  2. The sources are read againVlera OS reads the available sources again and compares them with your inputs.
  3. A new version is createdOnly when the content changes. Otherwise the state stays as it is.
  4. Priorities are reorderedBased on the new state, with reasoning.

Executed is not the same as successful: results are available as a relationship, not as a proven cause.
