Six domains. One company.

Vlera OS looks at your business through six fixed domains. They are not modules and not forms, but the map of what Vlera OS must understand in order to say what matters now.

  • DynamicThe knowledge insideWhat is known, how reliably and how recently, differs for every business and changes over time.

The landscape

A map, not a menu.

The six domains organise what Vlera OS knows about your business. They are not separate programs: each one touches its neighbours, and together they form a single state.

GoalCompany & GoalsFinance & EconomicsMarket & CompetitionCustomers & SalesMarketing & VisibilityOperations & CapacityData & Signals

Data & Signals: Across the base of all six domains, not a seventh domain. Schematic view. The six domains form one shared state. Their dependencies, not data flows, are described below.

Where the domains touch

  1. Company & Goals · Finance & EconomicsA goal has to pay off: margin and cost frame decide what is realistic.
  2. Finance & Economics · Market & CompetitionWhat the market will pay helps decide which margin is possible.
  3. Market & Competition · Customers & SalesWhere demand exists decides which customers can be reached.
  4. Customers & Sales · Marketing & VisibilityAudiences decide through which channels and with which content marketing pays off.
  5. Marketing & Visibility · Operations & CapacityMore enquiries are only good if operations can handle them.
  6. Operations & Capacity · Company & GoalsA growth goal above capacity is shown as a conflict, not pursued silently.

The six domains

Per domain: what counts, where it comes from, what it affects.

Every domain is an equal part of the model. For each domain you see what Vlera OS needs to understand, where the knowledge comes from, what it affects for your goals and how it interplays with the other domains.

  1. Company & Goals

Who you are, what you offer, where you want to go

What Vlera OS needs to understand
Business model, locations and offers, your main goal and further goals, conditions and restrictions, and earlier decisions as far as they are recorded.
    Examples of evidence and signals
Your inputs, your publicly visible website and the corrections you confirm.
    Effect on your goals
Goals set direction and order. Without a clear goal there is no yardstick for what matters now.
    Interplay with other domains
Gives every other domain its yardstick. When goal and conditions drift apart, for example growth and profit, the conflict becomes visible.Borders onFinance & EconomicsOperations & CapacityMarketing & Visibility
  2. Finance & Economics

Margin, budget, cost frame, price range

What Vlera OS needs to understand
Margin, cost frame, budget and the price range of your offers: everything that decides whether growth pays off.
    Examples of evidence and signals
Your figures for budget, margin, basket value and target customer costs, plus data from connected finance and ERP systems.
    Effect on your goals
Determines which goal is reachable and which action pays off. More revenue without a sound margin is not progress.
    Interplay with other domains
Limits the marketing budget, judges offers by profitability and, together with capacity, sets the upper limit for growth.Borders onMarketing & VisibilityOperations & CapacityCompany & Goals
  3. Market & Competition

    Competitors, demand, positioning

What Vlera OS needs to understand
Competitors, demand, positioning and the regions in which you operate.
    Examples of evidence and signals
Competitors you name, publicly visible information and search demand from connected sources.
    Effect on your goals
Shows where demand exists and which offer deserves attention.
    Interplay with other domains
Tells marketing where visibility pays off, and sales whom it is measured against.Borders onMarketing & VisibilityCustomers & Sales
  4. Customers & Sales

    Audiences, enquiries, closed deals

What Vlera OS needs to understand
Audiences, customer relationships, enquiries and how well demand turns into orders.
    Examples of evidence and signals
Your inputs, your customer list and data from connected CRM and sales systems.
    Effect on your goals
Decides how much of the demand actually becomes revenue.
    Interplay with other domains
Marketing creates enquiries, sales closes them, operations delivers. When the chain breaks, more reach does not help.Borders onMarketing & VisibilityOperations & CapacityMarket & Competition
  5. Marketing & Visibility

    Website, search, social, email, message

What Vlera OS needs to understand
Website, search visibility, local presence, social media, email and the message you present yourself with.
    Examples of evidence and signals
Website analysis plus data from connected marketing and analytics sources: search, visitors, local presence, ads, social media and email.
    Effect on your goals
Creates demand and trust, but only as much as operations and profitability can carry.
    Interplay with other domains
One domain of six, not the starting point. Whether marketing is the right answer is also decided in the other domains.Borders onMarket & CompetitionCustomers & SalesOperations & Capacity
  6. Operations & Capacity

    Hours, team, delivery ability

What Vlera OS needs to understand
Weekly hours, team size and delivery ability: how much demand your operation can handle.
    Examples of evidence and signals
Your inputs on hours, team and the extra demand you can handle, plus data from connected operations and planning systems.
    Effect on your goals
Sets the upper limit for growth and so affects the goals: a goal that exceeds capacity is shown as a conflict.
    Interplay with other domains
Limits marketing and sales and is tied to finance: more capacity costs money.Borders onCompany & GoalsMarketing & VisibilityFinance & Economics

Interplay by example

Marketing demand meets capacity.

An action that creates more enquiries is only good if the team can handle them. This is how Vlera OS sees that dependency.

Example view

Marketing & VisibilityAction: more enquiries through search

Expected: additional demand

Operations & CapacityYour input: additional demand you can handle

Limited by weekly hours and team size

Not covered

Vlera OS shows the conflict

Demand and capacity do not match. The action therefore does not come first. What matters instead is for you to decide.

Possible ways, for you to decide

  • Postpone the action and clarify capacity first
  • Adjust the capacity figure if it is no longer right
  • Make an offer with free capacity visible on purpose

Structure and knowledge

The structure is fixed. The knowledge grows.

Vlera OS does not question you domain by domain. It builds the picture step by step, where a goal calls for it.

  1. No questionnaireThere are no forms per domain. Domains organise knowledge, they do not ask for it.
  2. Setup is only the beginningSetup lays down a first picture. The Business Brain is never considered finished.
  3. The goal sets the depthA domain is only deepened when a goal or a decision requires it.
  4. Unknown stays unknownWhat is missing is shown as unknown, never as zero.
